REFUND POLICY

At the Singapore Institute of Mentors (SIMe), we are committed to fairness, accountability, and transparency in all financial transactions.
This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which payments made to SIMe for registration, membership, training, and related services may be refunded.
1. General Principles

All payments made to SIMe — including mentor registration fees, membership dues, supervision or training fees, and event participation fees — are considered non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Exceptions may apply under special circumstances (see Section 3 below).

Refunds, if approved, will be processed back to the original payment method within 30 working days after formal approval.
2. Non-Refundable Items
The following payments are strictly non-refundable once processed:

Mentor registration or renewal fees (as these cover administrative and verification costs).

Training, supervision, or workshop fees once the course has commenced.

Digital or downloadable products such as PDFs, toolkits, or online access packages.

Membership or listing fees once mentor profiles are published in the SIMe National Register.
3. Eligible Refund Circumstances
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:

Programme Cancellation by SIMeFull refund of paid fees if SIMe cancels a training, workshop, or event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Withdrawal Before Programme Start80% refund if written notice is received at least 14 days before programme start date. 50% refund if received 7–13 days before. No refund within 7 days of start.
Medical or Compassionate GroundsPartial refund (up to 70%) upon submission of official documentation (e.g., medical certificate, bereavement notice).
Duplicate Payment or System ErrorFull refund upon verification of payment records.
All requests must be made in writing to finance@simentors.org with proof of payment and relevant documentation.
4. Substitution or Credit Transfer

If a participant cannot attend a scheduled session, a replacement participant may be nominated before the start date (subject to SIMe’s approval).

Alternatively, SIMe may allow a credit transfer of equivalent value toward another training or event within 6 months of the original booking.
5. Administrative Fees

A small administrative processing fee (S$20 or 10%) may apply for approved refunds to cover transaction and processing costs.

Refunds will be made in Singapore Dollars (SGD) only.
6. Processing Time
Once approved, refunds will be processed within 30 working days.
For payments made via credit card, PayNow, or bank transfer, the refund will be returned through the same channel.
7. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may submit an apeal within 14 days of notification to the SIMe Finance Committee at info@simentors.org.
All appeals will be reviewed fairly in accordance with SIMe’s governance and ethical standards.
